Izcalli and the National Compadres Network
Hello young and older brothers, it’s that time of year that as many of us from Circulo de Hombres gathering. It will be our 19th year anniversary. On November 20, 1998 a group of Chicano\Native American males gathered for three days at Barrio Station Rancho Viva Elena in a Circle of healing and compassion. A very enriching exchange of words feelings, and spiritual energy were shared through discussion, laughter and prayer all directed at the many issues facing men today. It has been agreed to continue this ancient but new tradition for generations to come as new friendships of elders and adolescents have been formed. Some of us may not see each other for the year but for three days nearly one hundred elders and adolescents all come together to speak from our hearts. We hope that everyone who receives this letter can come and share a bit of your story for generations to come.
Thank you all.
